Using our Payment Portal to make payments

TRACE Enforcement Group provides an online payment portal where you can make payments in a safe and secure environment. In order to use our Payments Portal to make a payment, you (“you”/”your” or the “customer”) must be an individual or business that can enter into a legally binding contract under the laws of England and Wales. You may not make a payment and may not accept the Terms and Conditions if you are under the age of 18 or are not authorised to enter into such a contract.

The payment offers and service are offered by TRACE Enforcement Group (“us”/”we”/”our”) a trading style of TRACE Debt Recovery Limited, registered at Barratt House, Suite S2, Kingsthorpe Road, Northampton, NN2 6HT, registered in England & Wales No. 10079126. VAT Registration No. 241 4112 58.

In making a payment through our Payment Portal, you accept the Terms and Conditions which form a legally binding contract between you and us.

All financial offers presented are invitations to treat and do not commit TRACE Enforcement Group to accepting them upon you accepting an offer.

All one-off payments will be deemed to be accepted by TRACE Enforcement Group upon receipt by you of the confirmation email from us.

Payments made for amounts which do not match the balance outstanding at the time of payment will be treated as part payments unless prior agreement has been made with us to accept a discounted amount.

Refunds will only be issued in the event of a technical error with our systems, or in the event that the user has paid over the amount due. Refunds will be made within 5 working days of us being notified of such errors.

Chargebacks will be defended, and these terms and conditions will form the part of our defence. If for any reason the payment is successfully reclaimed by your bank and is not due to fraudulent use of your card or due to an error on our part. Your account will be reinstated, and a fee of £25 will be applied.

Other information

Each payment method may vary in the number of days it takes for your money to reach out bank account as cleared funds.  Make sure you allow enough time between the date you make your payment and the date your payment is due.

If you don’t quote your Case ID, we may not have enough information to update our records to show you’ve made payment.

If we can’t tell which account, customer or client a payment is for, we will hold the money (called an ‘unattributed payment’) in suspense for up to 180 days.  This means we won’t touch it for that time.  After that time, we may keep this money.  If a customer later shows us proof that they made an unattributed payment, we will apply it correctly or refund the customer.
